Vishnu Institute of Technology

Vishnu Institute of Technology is the scion of the Sri Vishnu Educational Society. It inherits the lofty ideals of the Founder Chairman, the Late. Padma Bhushan Dr. B.V. Raju, whose vision is the guiding star in its odyssey of learning. Established in the year 2008, VIT aims at empowering students with technical skills and ' can - do ' entrepreneurial spirit. The campus is located in the verdant atmosphere of Vishnupur, in Bhimavaram.

Nascent that it is, it combines in its matrix, experience and vigor provided by the Chairman Sri. K.V. Vishnu Raju, a man of holistic vision and his team comprising dexterous administrators, reputed academicians and brilliant line of students. They constantly strive to make the institution join the ranks of prestigious technological institutions.

At VIT, the programmes of study in Engineering include Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science , Information Technology and Mechanical. Here quality education is imparted with special focus on the hands-on training. The smart classrooms & well equipped labs enrich the teaching learning process. Customization is the hallmark at VIT where educational training is adopted to suit the capabilities, skills and needs of the students.

The rigors of academic study are balanced with various co-curricular activities. Participation in seminars and conferences is the culture here. Guest lectures by eminent personalities provide a wider and updated perspective of the subject.

VIT also provides the opportunity to work in the Assistive Technologies Lab, where technology is combined with a humanistic outlook by designing and developing gadgets for the physically challenged under the guidance of eminent professors from abroad. The involvement of our students in the development of the automated chair & walking stick for the blind bears testimony to it.

Besides providing opportunities for employment in various reputed organizations, the Placement Cell also assists the students to be industry ready through soft skills training, communications skills programmes, personality development sessions and aptitude are only a few of the programmes to name. In the very year of its inception the college has trained one batch of students in foreign languages in collaboration with Goethe Zentrum, the German Cultural Association.
