Smt. B Seetha Polytechnic College

Smt. B.Seetha Polytechnic College was established at Vishnupur, Bhimavaram, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh by Sri Vishnu Educational Society on 9th December, 1997.

The college was started with a view to impart quality education to rural students. The vision of our Founder Chairman is reflected in the college premises with polytechnic building sprawling across a 50,000 sq.ft area, laboratories equipped with state of the art technologies, a rich collection of books in the library and qualified faculty, all paving way for achieving excellent results. In the year 2000, the polytechnic college was converted from women's polytechnic to a co-educational institute.

The college is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education & Training, Hyderabad and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

Facilities provided by the institute

Class teachers take personal attention to improve the academic performance, co-cirrcular and extra-cirrcular activites of the students. Every day evening study hours are conducted by the faculty to clarify the doubts especially to cater the needs of students who are weak in academics to impart personal care. To extract the maximum academic excellence and results, regular internal examinations along with repeated class tests are conducted and results will be communicated to the parents about the progress of the students. Many awareness programmes like career guidance programmes and personality development programmes are conducted time to time to make the students compete with their counterparts. The institute provides ECET coaching classes for the final year students. To provide special care and convenience to the students the classes are divided into number of sections. The faculty members are given AICTE pay scales to retain qualified, competent, committed and experienced in the institute.

Courses are offered in affliation with SBTET, Hyderabad, A.P and recogniged by A.I.C.T.E, New Delhi.

Education Programs

The college offers three years diploma course in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering with 240 student intake in each department and diploma in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, with intake of 120 students every academic year.

Aspiring candidates need to clear the Common Entrance Examination conducted by SBTET, Hyderabad, A.P. The CEEP exam will be conducted during the April - May month every year and subsequent counseling will be done during the months of June - July. Admissions into various polytechnics of the state are based on CEEP ranks.

The college focuses on developing and good technical knowledge and practical skills in respective
courses offered.

Students Counseling Scheme

Students are given individual attention through " Students Counseling Scheme " and are encouraged to improve their academic performance and to participate in extra-curricular activities. As a part of this scheme, parents are periodically informed of their ward 's progress.
