Vishnu Public School, Bhimavaram

After having established professional colleges at the beautiful ambience of the campus at Vishnupur., Bhimavaram. Our Founder Chairman, Late. Padma Bhushan Dr. B. V. Raju wanted to set up a unique school in this coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. Due to his sudden demise his dream couldn not be fulfilled. His grand son Sri. K.V. Vishnu Raju, the present Chairman of Sri Vishnu Educational Society realized our Founder Chairman's vision of establishing a school.

Vishnu Public School made a humble beginning in the year 2003 with a small band of 80 students on its roll and 14 teaching staff. The able functioning of the school, its infrastructure, progressive reputation and proven guidance of the Principals, has helped the school to grow in leaps and bounds. Through the years , the school has achieved functioning from LKG to Xth standard with a reputation of being the best in the district. The school student strength stands high at 900 with 45 efficient and experienced teaching staff and 10 non-teaching staff.

The institution aims to create a stimulating, stress free and morally strong environment conducive to
children's development.

The vision of the school is to provide all round education and nurture a child's innate curiosity and help the child achieve academic excellence. Vishnu Public School's core objective is to see that at the end of the schooling years a student performs to the best of his academic ability, is groomed as a well-rounded personality who can excel in a chosen career. We aim at providing quality education at primary and secondary levels and to mould and support the students to face the challenges of tomorrow’s world.

Vishnu Public School lays strong foundations that prepare a child for a very dynamic future that unfolds by developing the qualities such as enquiry, adaptability, resilience, morality, communication, thoughtfulness,
co-operation and awareness about others and respecting them.

The school functions from LKG to Xth standard. English is the medium of instruction and CBSE syllabus is being followed up to Vth standard since its inception. The school has been completely affiliated to CBSE up to IXth standard in 2010 - 2011 academic year and the remaining classes up to XIIth will be affiliated in the
subsequent years.

All the subjects are compulsory and the only choice is Ist languages and activities like art, music, drama and sports. The curriculum framework provides a solid foundation in Mathematics, English and Science that is relevant and useful for students across the world.

School Facilities

A congenial atmosphere is created with spacious and well furnished classrooms, good moving space, facilities for storage of books of the students.

Audio - Visual Centre : The School is equipped with latest Cassette / Cd players, television sets, over head projector, video cassette player and LCD projector. The school library has acquired several videos and audio tapes on different subjects and english language prepared by CIEFL for effective teaching experience . The school airs programs from National Geographic and Discovery channels for the benefit of our knowledge
thirsty minds.

Electronic & Technology Labs : Apart from the regular science laboratories, the school has separate laboratories for electronics and technology. Instruction schedules are planned in these labs to provide hands on experience about workshop techniques and basic study of electronics.

Transportation : The school provides conveyance to all the students virtually covering entire Bhimavaram and its surroundings with in the radius of 45 - 50 kilometers.

Co-Curricular and ExtraCurricular Activities

Students are encouraged appropriately in identifying and exploring their aptitude in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. They are given opportunity to participate in creative writing, recitation, elocution and debate, essay writing, quiz and social and cultural activities.

To help the students to explore various dimensions to education and identification of their individual aptitudes, students are given appropriate encouragement for their comprehensive development. The houses system has been introduced and all the activities are organized house-wise in the school. Based on their individual interests, the students are exposed to arts like dancing, music, dramatics, drawing, painting and participation in
science fairs.

The students are allotted certain hours to spend on sports activities and are trained in various games thereby contributing to inculcate a competitive spirit and for physical fitness. Adequate facilities are available to practice football, volleyball, and throwball, hockey, cricket, basketball, kabaddi, kho kho and indoor games. Students are also allowed to participate in excursions, expeditions, N.S.S, and scout camps arranged by the school.
